Sunny Holidays in October and November

Holidays in the Sun

Not everyone gets the chance to go away on holidays during summer season, but this doesn't mean that you can't enjoy a summer escapade during the rest of the year. We are lucky to live on such a diverse planet, where seasons differ from continent to continent. As the northern hemisphere is now getting colder, our neighbours in the south are enjoying warmer weather and the beginning of their travel pick season.

At aircrewser, we chose top 5 hot destinations which are the most popular during the months of October and November. Please hover on each destination to find out the average temperatures and average daily spending per person.

Westin Mina Seyahi | Dubai Marina Resort

There are so many great places to go for leisure in Dubai, and one of them is Westin Mina Seyahi Beach Resort. Summers in Dubai can be a bit of a challenge, as the temperature outside can reach up to 46 degree celsius. So a beach resort can help you cool down, while still being able to get some colour on your skin and chill out with your friends or family.

In this blog we will talk about the pros and cons about Westin Mina Resort.

Pros

  1. Clean & quiet resort (we would’ve preferred some music in the background though!)
  2. You can choose whichever seat you want and they offer free towels.
  3. Beach access – this would be most preferred during off summer season.
  4. Pool bar access – good selection of alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks and the only place you can hear playing some music.
  5. Family friendly – there are 5 different pools of which one is for kids alone.

Cons

  1. For outside visitors to enter the hotel resort you actually have to go through Barasti entrance, not through the hotel’s entrance. My friends and I found this a bit frustrating as this wasn’t mentioned on the website and there was a bit of a walk involved in the sun.
  2. The free wifi didn’t work at all, but thankfully we had TravelWiFi and it worked amazingly!

  1. The entrance fees are quiet pricy, but if you are a visitor in Dubai (only in the summer season 1 Jun – 31st Aug) you can show your Emirates boarding pass and pay only AED 150 AED from 225 AED during weekdays or 350 AED during weekends. Or if you go Sunday or Wednesdays, ladies pay only 100 AED.
  2. A bottle of 500 ml of water is 48 AED, so you may as well buy some water from a local store before you go in because you will drink lots of water!!

Nonetheless the overall experience at the resort was very enjoyable, especially when you have good company.

If you’ve been to this resort or you are planning to go we would like to hear about your experience!

Only 90mins boat ride from Bali

Summertime is quickly approaching and so the excitement is building up. Probably this is the time of the year when most of us are day dreaming and already looking forward to a nice and exotic vacay.

We found a piece of paradise that may steal your heart straight away and make you not to leave it once you get there. It takes only 90 mins boat ride north east from Bali. @pilotmaria is taking us to this heavenly island, called Gili Trawangan. This is one of the three Gili islands, Trawangan being the biggest of all three and officially known as ‘the party’ island.

Maria has been to Gili island twice so far and she fell in love with it since she first visited 7 years ago. A lot has changed since then. The island got busier and is predominantly visited by a younger crowed. Probably because is called ‘the party’ island?!  Also you won’t have to worry about the lights that used to be cut off around 10 pm every evening back then. Now you can explore the island day and night!

A typical day in Gili

A great way to start off your day is with a session of yoga with @katemiddeltonyoga by the beach.

Enjoy delicious breakfast at  @thebanyantreegili with a variety of options to choose from.

Explore the magnificent sights of the ocean by doing scuba diving with Kate. She is not only a yoga teacher but also a professional scuba diver so you will be in safe hands. If you are planning to do a scuba diving course, this is the place to do it.

If you want to watch the sunset with an amazing view then you should be on Malibu beach and try some delicious cocktails at Malibu Club.

Riding a bicycle or walking around the island is the only way to do it as there are no other forms of transport. It takes about 1 hour cycling to see all the island.

You can watch this great youtube video done by Maria while in Gili. Enjoy!
